About

I have 30 years of clinical, research and teaching experience, with particular expertise in the treatment of eating disorders and anxiety disorders. As a Clinical Psychology Professor in a doctoral training program, I have extensive experience conducting psychotherapy, teaching and training others in cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as publishing and presenting research internationally. Professional memberships include serving as an elected Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders, a member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, and a member of the Association for Cognitive & Behavioral Therapies.

I utilize a collaborative, cognitive-behavioral approach with all clients, particularly those with eating disorders or anxiety (OCD, panic, social anxiety, phobias, generalized anxiety, health anxiety), which research has shown is the most effective approach for these conditions. Therapy is time-limited, targeting thoughts, emotions and behaviors.

Factors that make my practice unique are the integration of extensive clinical and research training to give clients access to the most effective possible treatments available. In addition to expertise in treating eating disorders and anxiety disorders, I enjoy working with all individuals seeking to enhance their quality of life.
