About

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor as well as a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor, experienced working with adolescents, adults, and families with trauma, depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, grief and loss, and end of life issues. My role is to help you in uncovering answers and to support you in your healing and development. I have great respect for your autonomy and your ability to be empowered to determine your own path, solutions, and direction in life.

I draw from a variety of theoretical approaches when working with people, depending on the needs and goals of each individual client, respecting each person's own journey/path using individual strengths to build on. Working often from an existential lens, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Mindfulness Based, Motivational, and EMDR/IFS therapies.

Since the pandemic, I have transitioned my practice to telehealth only and plan to continue in this manner permanently. Although at first skeptical, I have found that my clients enjoy the flexibility this allows and has actually enhanced the personal and intimate nature of our sessions, as my clients report feeling more comfortable, so I encourage trying!
