Taking steps toward change and getting help can be incredibly difficult. I strive to support people who want to suffer less and create more meaning in their lives. I believe that we need to have compassion toward ourselves in order to heal, though this can be difficult when we are struggling emotionally. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to share their stories, helping to cultivate compassion and build insight in order to encourage change. While I enjoy working with people of all ages, I primarily work with older adolescents and adults. Throughout my 15 years of being a psychologist, I have gained a lot of experience working with people who have anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, grief, and eating disorders. In addition, I skillfully treat relationship issues, school- or work-related problems, parenting struggles, low self-esteem and sexuality concerns. I practice from an insight-oriented and relational perspective, helping clients to understand the origins of their struggles. I integrate mindfulness, self-compassion, and behavioral therapies to open clients to new ways of thinking and feeling, and to reduce emotional suffering. I invite you to reach out to me to start your path toward change.
