It is important to work with a professional who specializes in eating disorders (ED) and will use effective treatment strategies. I have specialized in working with ED for 20 years. I am certified by the Training Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. I completed an internship and fellowship at the Uni. of Chicago Hospitals Eating and Weight Disorders Clinic. I have been a clinical supervisor for 14 years, training doctoral students/interns wanting to specialize in treating ED and related concerns. I have extensive training and experience in the treatment of all eating disorders. I utilize evidence-based strategies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Based Treatment (FBT, aka Maudsley Method), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). At the Eating Disorder Institute (EDI), we work compassionately and collaboratively with clients and their support team. We offer group and individual therapy. We are anti-diet, Health at Every Size aligned, and follow the principles of Intuitive Eating. We do not accept insurance, but we offer a range of fees depending on the therapists level of experience
