If you are looking for an impartial and caring person to confide in, I bring a wide variety of professional experiences working in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, as a school social worker (k-12) and in private practice to my work. Using this background I will build a non-judgmental and accepting, therapeutic relationship as the core basis of our therapy. My approach is client-driven and addresses the needs and goals of each individual. I listen carefully but am also active and interactive. Although I have led therapy groups and had post-graduate family therapy training, my specialty is working with individuals doing adjunctive work with families, as needed. My training and early experience was largely psychodynamically based but I incorporate aspects of family systems, neurolinguistic, and cognitive behavioral therapies in my work. When you call me, I will get back to you promptly and try to assess if I can be of help. If not, to the best of my ability, I will try to help you locate a more ideal solution. During the course of therapy, I also invite my clients to communicate by email or text.
