I believe that finding a therapist can be like buying a pair of shoes - you need to find the one that fits. While I primarily use a cognitive-behavioral orientation with my clients, my focus has always been on using techniques that fit each specific client. I enter into a therapeutic relationship with the belief that each client possesses the power to change and can learn ways to bring about change and relief to his or her situation. Change is always possible if the choice is to do so. To set up an appointment, please call instead of emailing me. My clinical training has focused on a variety of clinical populations. I have had extensive experience working with clients coping with personal adjustments, as well as anxiety, and mood disorders. In addition, I have worked clinically with combat veterans with PTSD, inpatient psychiatric clients and outpatients for over 20 years. I have been providing services in the City of Falls Church for over 10 years. If you are interested in beginning therapy and you think I may be a good fit, I encourage you to give me a call.
