Sometimes as we move through transitions in our lives, we may have difficulty making decisions. Feelings of anxiety or depression may develop as stress increases. I help people learn more effective ways to deal with life's challenges, to live more satisfying lives. Areas of particular interest include working with adolescents and adults with ADD/ADHD who have struggled with distractibility and organizational skills, and who may have difficulty with executive function. My approach combines cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), which focuses on "here and now" change, and psychodynamic therapy, which explores behavior developed in early experiences. I use an interactive style and believe that a trusting alliance is one of the most important components of successful therapy.
