Substance Use Disorders (SUD), whether our own misuse or someone else's misuse that affects us, can be painful to navigate. SUD can cause changes in the brain contributing to challenging behaviors & mental health strain. Adverse early childhood events, our biology, life's compacted stressors and trauma can also impact how we react in our relationships and to our world. Unpacking uncomfortable feelings and responses around this first takes the courage to want to change. We are here for you to help unpack it all while navigating next steps. Trauma informed approaches are utilized to provide interactive and exploratory 50 minute sessions to identify client strengths, while assessing barriers that may be interfering with becoming the best version of one-self. At Boost Counseling we believe that compassionate, nonjudgmental treatment is a basic human right. We believe that our work is about sustaining hope by helping people live beyond just "getting by". Our aim is to meet clients where they are at to guide them towards identifying & unveiling needed changes within themselves.
