Therapy can help break old patterns and habits which can stand in the way of forming new opportunities or relationships. I have been practicing as a counselor in Vermont for fourteen years, working with children, adolescents, and families. I am also trained as a crisis clinician. I have worked closely with families and teens experiencing depression, suicidal ideation, trauma, anxiety, family conflict and school challenges. I offer a safe, comfortable and caring environment in which clients can share life challenges, discomfort, diagnosis or desired change. I believe expression comes in many forms. The use expressive arts in treatment can help uncover unconscious material. This process allows space and distance from internal conflict. As a counselor, I value relationships. I practice from a client centered approach, focusing on connection. It is important for clients to feel safe and comfortable when working with a counselor. I respect individual differences and honor the courage it takes to initiate change.
