As a Licensed Professional Counselor and emerging Art Therapist, my goal and intention are to bring forth a safe and supportive space for those seeking relief from mental suffering. To achieve this objective, I utilize the creative process in my practice to access information and emotions that cannot be processed in a verbal manner. I earned a Master’s in Counseling/Art Therapy from Adler University and have been working in locations including an Outpatient Unit and a Community Mental Health Care Agency. I have experience working with individuals ages 5-55 year of age. In addition, I have experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and psychosis. I utilize an integrative approach in my practice, which looks at an individual as more than just a diagnosis; the individual is a complex being with a worldview and specific set of values and codes. By utilizing the art-making process, I help the individual process and explore cognitive and emotional functioning and sustain mental wellbeing.
