As a therapist, I believe it's hard to sustain our day-to-day lives by ourselves. I ground therapy in helping to create and foster connections and support systems, so you don't feel as isolated at the end of therapy as you did in the beginning. I like to get a good understanding of what your OCD looks like on a day-to-day basis. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for people with OCD. Our understanding of the nuances of OCD enables us to properly diagnose and treat it. We have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD. When you start with NOCD, you’ll either work with me or be paired with one of my colleagues, depending on your preferences. We’ll work to get to know you and create a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. Plus, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone. It's really hard to look for help, let alone ask for it. I commend your bravery in taking that first step because nothing can happen without it. OCD therapy takes courage and transparency to see the changes you want. It's important to commit yourself to the process upfront.
