About

A counselor is a client's true ally. Someone who is actively invested in understanding your experiences, emotions, and behaviors can be a powerful tool in helping guide you toward change. The genuine connection between counselor and client can foster a better understanding of self and lead the client to take charge of their own life path. I am honored to be some small part of a client’s journey towards fulfillment. To me, each person's differences make the world a more vibrant place. I hope to celebrate what makes each client unique and also build a connection to what makes us all human. View 9 Photos

I primarily use CBT with clients to help make sense of how our hearts and heads are reacting to the world around us. Therapy can be like a science experiment in which we treat identified life problems by gathering information, forming hypotheses, and strategizing solutions. While not easy, I believe we are all capable of change with the right set of tools.

I am an LPC with a BS in Nursing from the University of Memphis and an MS in Counselor Education from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. My experience includes work with college students, pregnant and parenting teens, in-home counseling in rural and urban areas, counseling at an eating disorder treatment center, and short-term crisis counseling.
