Many people come to therapy after reaching a certain breaking point. You've tried everything that's "supposed" to help - yoga, meditation, books, journaling. Maybe you seem to have it all together on the outside, but still feel unhappy, or stuck. If only you could just change -fill in the blank- everything would be better. The growth of social media has impacted how we view ourselves and community, leading to comparison and insecurity. We are conditioned through capitalism to feel somehow "never enough." We may feel behind our peers in dating, career, or friendships - creating isolation and uncertainty about what we want in life. I work with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples using use an integrative approach that invites consent and collaboration. With ongoing discussion, we will co-create goals that feel right for you. We'll also consider the bigger picture, looking at how systemic forces and multiple layers of oppression may contribute to your experience and trauma. I came to this career after experiencing the benefits of therapy myself and it deeply informs my approach. I consider the decision to begin therapy the best thing I ever did for myself, resulting in growth, insight and a more authentic life than I ever imagined possible. This positive experience is my wish for you!
