About

I strive to create a warm and trusting relationship with my clients as a base from which to explore their emotions, thought processes, and relationships that are contributing to their current distress. I then act as a guide in helping clients move toward the change they want to see in their lives. My approach to therapy is relational, integrative, and collaborative. I weave mindfulness and self-compassion into explorations of past and current relationships and the building of new coping skills to help clients better manage their current difficulties and change underlying patterns. I work to create a culturally affirming space to explore how systemic issues (such as racism, sexism, heterosexism, etc.) interact with clients' intersecting identities and cultural backgrounds, and thus impact their mental health concerns. I also engage in my own identity exploration work to be a more culturally responsive therapist and a better ally.

I specialize in working with relationship issues, gender and sexuality concerns, anxiety, depression, identity development, academic/career related distress, and eating and body image concerns. I am in training to becoming an AASECT certified sex therapist. I also provide evaluations for gender affirming surgeries.
