About

I have worked with many individuals and couples throughout the years and I know that one of the most frustrating things about the process of getting help, is finding someone that you can connect with while maintaining the focus and drive toward your goals. My ideal client is an overthinker who wants to learn how to effectively process rather than ruminate on their feelings and struggles. If you want to learn how to have a healthier relationship with yourself and others, I would love to be a part of that work with you.

I've been a mental health counselor for 15 years. In this work, I've found that I particularly enjoy helping people better understand their emotions and patterns of behavior related to these emotions. I work with mood and anxiety disorders as well as couples counseling. I also have a strong background in substance abuse counseling.

For most of us, our whole lives, we've been encouraged to only feel and express our comfortable emotions, e.g., happy, confident, loved, grateful, or playful. As though we are only valued or socially acceptable when we are feeling these ways. When we learn better, we don't just DO better. We actually FEEL better about ourselves.
