My main goal as a counselor is to provide a non-judgemental and emotionally supportive space where one feels safe, accepted, and heard. I want to help individuals in their journey through healing, and that process begins with trust, genuineness, and empathy. I specialize in play therapy for children 3-8 who are experiencing various behavioral and emotional challenges; however, I also work with adolescents, adults, parents, and couples. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, and trauma. I am also EMDR trained and use this modality with both children and adults depending on their need. Child-centered play therapy and person-centered counseling are my main modalities; however, I believe that therapy is not a one size fits all experience, and I aim to cater my approaches to the needs of my clients. I pull from other theories and modalities such as sand tray or expressive arts based on what is best for my clients.
