Laura is a Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about cultivating meaningful and healing relationships with her clients by working with each client individually to understand and empathize with their unique set of challenges and needs. Laura’s approach to therapy is taking on a compassionate, caring, and genuine therapeutic stance with all of her clients, creating a safe and warm environment for everyone who walks through her door. She uses a multitude of systemic approaches when working with her clients, with an emphasis on Emotionally Focused Therapy and The Gottman Method, in which she holds a Level 3 certification. Laura received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Spanish Studies from Clemson University, and her Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy, with a concentration in Medical Family Therapy & Family Violence, from Thomas Jefferson University. Laura completed her clinical work for her Master of Couple and Family Therapy at Council for Relationships. Laura strives to bring an effective blend of experience, expertise, clarity, and action to the counseling process in order to provide genuine healing and wholeness to individuals, couples and families. She has a wide range of experience including working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. Laura believes in the holistic model.
