I believe in the potential of all human beings to grow, change, and develop in ways that enrich themselves and those around them. Unfortunately, pain is often the touchstone of growth. Explored wisely, however, such pain can lead us to deeper understandings of ourselves and the world around us. Psychotherapy can be a valuable tool for turning our personal pain into personal growth. I have over 25 years of experience working with issues that have great impact on the LGBTQ community and beyond - the traumas of oppression, depression, anxiety, substance use, relational issues, career issues...the list goes on. I have a deep understanding of how these issues are often inter-woven and can keep us from becoming the people we want to be. Incorporating both Somatic Experiencing and Inner Relational Focusing, my aim is to provide a caring, thoughtful and attuned environment in which healing can lead to an increased sense of self, empowerment and vitality. I hold the frame that all of our experiences exist within the psychological, physiological, spiritual and cognitive realms - and to leave any out, is to miss a part of our true experience. Being more fully ourselves is the ultimate goal of growth and healing.
