I believe first and foremost in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I understand that beginning the work of psychotherapy can be a challenging and sometimes scary thing. Finding a therapist with whom you can build a trusting relationship is essential to the success of your treatment. Through honest and warm communication I create an environment where clients can feel supported and cared for throughout our work together. My specialties include anxiety disorders, trauma and related disorders, depression and mood disorders, and maternal mental health. I work with adults 18-year-old and older. I work with each individual to understand their unique needs and develop a treatment plan tailored to their goals. Clients can expect an integrative approach informed by cognitive and relational theories. Sessions are focused developing healthy coping skills and new patterns of thinking and behaving which can lead to better overall health and wellbeing. I also provide psychological assessment services. Through the use of a range of empirically validated measures I can assess a number of different areas of functioning. Psychological assessment can be helpful in clarifying diagnosis, understanding emotional and personality functioning, and providing tailored treatment recommendations.
