About

Everyone experiences situations in life that are challenging. We often develop ways to manage these situations that are adaptive at first, and can become harmful, in a variety of ways, later on. I believe, and work to help clients acknowledge, that all our behaviors were helpful at one point. By accepting this, we can move towards healthier coping with acceptance and compassion, for ourselves and others. I have experience working with a variety of trauma, anxiety and OCD. I have further training in managing these experiences.

I work with my clients to make sense of challenging life experiences. I am trained in EMDR, a modality designed to assist clients in fully reprocessing and integrating past trauma. I have a focus on attachment. The theory that past experiences affect our present functioning, which then predicts our future actions, guides my work.

Often, taking the first step to ask for help is the hardest! You have already shown vulnerability and courage by looking here. I look forward to building on this in our work together.
