Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I have had the opportunity to practice in both rural and urban settings doing both community and agency work. Initially, I began working in the field of addiction and trauma. I have also worked with clients in their journey relating to intimate partner violence, mood disorders, anxiety management, and personality disorders. I am a firm believer in finding ways to use community as a source of healing and support, through advocacy, connection, and support. As I continued my practice, I began working in a school setting. As a behavioral specialist in an inner city school, I had an inside view as to how a day looks for a teacher, as well as some of the unique challenges a teacher faces throughout the course of the day. Between managing classroom stressors and things outside of school grounds, I was able to see how our teachers need a person to keep their flames lit in the same way they do their students. My goal working at Teacher Talk to help be that support that keeps fires lit to help our teachers shine and feel supported.
