The primary focus of my practice is working with individuals who have experienced traumatic events in their life. Through the use of EMDR and other traditional cognitive behavioral therapies, my clients and I work together to achieve day-to-day functional successes as well as overall personal growth and development of positive relationships. Trauma from single or repeated incidents frequently result in mild to severe psychological conditions that benefit from therapy. Depression, anxiety, or other symptoms stemming from those events affect our relationships with others (at home, at work, and elsewhere), as well as a person's self-esteem/self-worth. My therapeutic approach is to address both the cause and consequence of such life altering events. Helping clients manage and thrive despite chronic mental health conditions, such as recurring depression and bipolar disorder, is another aspect central to my practice.
