Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
The problem is never really the problem. Conflict is a normal part of life. Problems arise when we cope with conflict by shutting down or becoming enraged on one extreme, or feeling that we "should" be a party to our own abuse on the other. Whether you are looking for individual or couples therapy, you are probably looking to get to the heart of the problem quickly to avoid spending any more time in the current uncomfortable situation. I believe therapy should be affordable and based on the most effective modalities available. I perform a thorough assessment for each client so that we can put your current issues into the context of your history. Your immediate needs will guide my intervention. While I specialize in trauma, addiction and relationship therapy, I love to work with anyone with a desire to grow. I use EMDR and CPT to treat trauma. I practice emotion-focused therapy and use the Gottman Couples therapy approach to guide my interventions with couples. Call for a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to speaking with you.
