I believe what contributes to my attunement with my clients is my genuine respect for who they are as individuals, my curiosity about and willingness to be affected by their life stories, and my focus on identifying their resiliencies. I strive to be a highly engaged therapist and maintain knowledge of current, evidence-based approaches. I have practiced across a spectrum of settings. This, along with my own life experiences that led to an appreciation for the complexity of being human, and my attunement with my clients are what I believe to be at the core of my effectiveness. Currently my work focuses on adults and adolescents dealing with complex trauma, anxiety, addictive and compulsive behaviors, grief and loss, body image, and relationship issues. I am a Qualified Supervisor with the Florida Department of Health for Registered Interns. The therapeutic approaches I most commonly utilize are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Attachment Theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology are also fundamental influences in my approach.
