Hi, I'm Kim and welcome to Cornerstone Wellness! I believe each of us at different times in our lives face situations which cause us to re-assess/re-evaluate our lives, e.g. what is important to us, what we are doing, what is working for us in our lives and perhaps what is not. I believe counseling can be a place in which a person can learn about themselves and make positive changes in themselves and their lives which can then lead to increased life satisfaction. I have worked in the behavioral health field for the past 31 years, working with clients struggling with mental health issues and/or substance abuse issues. My primary mode of therapy is cognitive-behavioral, however, I also pull from an array of other modalities based upon my client's needs. I see counseling as a collaborative process in which I walk alongside clients in their quest for increased self-awareness and to support them as they work through issues and challenges they may feel stuck on. While this work can be difficult at times, it can also lead to incredible rewards. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey.
