Thanks for your interest in my practice. I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY34943) based in California, specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT) for anxiety, depression, substance use, and other presenting problems. I strongly believe there is no "ideal client" and my job is to figure out how to work together most effectively and help you work towards your goals, whatever those may be. I also realize that each person is unique and has certain strengths and weakness. Of course, it's the weaknesses that often bring us to get help, and we will definitely work on those, while attending to your strengths. In addition to CBT, I also was extensively trained in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). DBT, a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy, focuses on increasing skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Both therapies help you recognize your emotions and focus on your thoughts/behaviors. Please visit my website (kskuehn.com) to learn me about me and my practice. If you're interested, let's set up a free 15 minute consultation to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
