Therapists » Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Life is a journey and sometimes adjusting to changes and challenges in our lives can be overwhelming. Sometimes we just need a listening ear, a safe place to be heard and to be given the support needed for that moment and beyond. My role as your counselor is to help you build connections within yourself and others around you. By allowing you the opportunity to be heard, I create an atmosphere for a safe environment with a non-judgemental space. I approach therapy in a direct way to challenge clients to meet their potential and meet their goals. I promote honesty for yourself to create open communication and direction to change. With my MS in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and my BS in Psychology from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica I have worked in a diverse range of settings with extensive experience working with military personal and families and specialization with eating disorders, mood disorders, parenting, stress and anger. My goal is to provide you with a multicultural perspective and support needed on your life journey to assist you with adjusting to changes in order to enjoy a more fulfilling and flourishing life. Counseling can assist you with making changes in your life and learn coping strategies to deal with your past, present and continue your life journey.
