Entering counseling is about developing a therapeutic relationship with the client. With that in mind, I make every effort to engage clients by first getting to know them and their needs. I believe that for change to occur for clients, they need to trust that their therapist is trustworthy, sincere and supportive. My counseling style tends to be interactive, with a focus on key issues that present in clients lives in the form of themes, patterns. I am comfortable working with different theoretical approaches, keeping in mind what clients respond to most. My method of practice is focused on client needs. I encourage clients to come to sessions and work to get what they come for. My role is to focus and refocus clients so that they are able to work through their issues at a pace that is comfortable for them. I am PSYPACT credentialed, use HIPAAA compliant email and telehealth platforms. have been in private practice for over 18 years. I am a member of the (National Register H.S.P.P. Health Service Provider Psychology) and worked for many years as the clinical supervisor for psychologists in Training at a local University.
