I believe in the ability of people to heal from difficult events and to make positive changes in their lives. Therapy (individual, group, couples) needs to be a safe place where a client can feel supported in addressing their issues. I have seen how a psychotherapeutic relationship, in combination with other relationships in the client's life, can aid in those processes of healing and self-change. As a therapist I offer insight and other assistance where helpful but the focus remains on the client, the client's experience and the meanings that she/he/they draw from that experience. In 2021 I started offering relational- process groups. Group therapy allows us the opportunity to explore our relationship to ourselves, to others and, in the here-and-now, to the other members of the group. Under the guidance of two trained therapists it can be a fruitful experience - and research has shown that it can be as helpful as individual treatment. Currently I am accepting new clients for group therapy. Contact me and let's talk about whether or not group work might add a needed aspect to your treatment.
