Katherine (Katie) Cusato is a postdoctoral fellow at LifeStance. She grew up in Rochester, New York, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) at Cornell University. Katie earned her Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) at the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University. Her clinical experience has included working with children, adolescents, and families, as well as adults with serious mental illness. Katie approaches each client’s case with empathy and compassion to understand how they developed into the person they are today. This includes consideration of the intersection of aspects of their identity and the context in which they developed. She values her therapeutic relationship with clients and strives to help them overcome psychological and environmental challenges while enhancing their sense of safety. Katie enjoys making jewelry, watching sports, hiking, kayaking, and practicing yoga in her spare time.
