I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a compassionate and down-to-earth style. I use a collaborative approach to help my clients get unstuck from painful cycles and live more satisfying lives. Drawing from CBT and DBT, I teach my clients to manage intense emotions that can cause challenges in relationships and struggles with achieving goals. In my work with teens, I empower young clients to build skills for coping with life’s problems, while providing parents with supportive strategies that lead to more mutually rewarding relationships with their child. I work with teens, adults, and couples, and I specialize in treating problems related to trauma/PTSD, emotion dysregulation, anxiety, family/relationship conflict, and adolescent issues. I also treat individuals coping with depression, mood disorders, borderline personality traits, parenting challenges, and stressful life transitions. I provide evidence-based treatment that is informed by each client’s culture, values, and context: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Exposure Therapy; Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD; Gottman Method and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy.
