About

I am a psychologist who works with adults in individual and group psychotherapy. My approach is integrative in nature meaning that, depending on the needs of my clients, I seek to relieve distress through providing emotion regulation and other skills while also working towards long-term change by gaining insight into problematic thought patterns and relationship cycles. I specialize in working with clients who are seeking therapy for emotion- and relationship-based problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and anger issues. View 9 Photos

I offer two dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills groups. DBT is a form of therapy recommended for individuals dealing with long-standing difficulties with managing emotions and relationships. Relevant problems include intense negative emotions, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, difficulty tolerating distress, and/or related relationship issues.

I currently supervise a postdoctoral resident, Dr. Yun Garrison. Dr. Garrison is a stellar therapist committed to providing therapy to people of color, immigrants, refugees, international students, and LGBTQ+ community member in Maine. She also provides support for those who are in helping professions and she offers low fee and pro-bono services.
