About

Being human involves suffering, wonderment, and love. My work centers on promoting healing the suffering we cause ourselves, and on coming into right relationship with ourselves and others in order to grow into our full human capacities. Mindfulness, meditation, self- expression and finding one’s passions are all important aspects of this work. I believe that, whatever problems we have, we are not our problems. Learning to create life structures that support our best selves and finding ways to increase our tolerance of difficult emotions are essential tools in the art of living well.

My focus is humanistic, existential, and influenced by Buddhist principles. Additionally, I have a background in philosophy of religion, women's studies, and in creative writing/visual art/music. I call on a variety of techniques to promote health/healing/wellbeing, depending on what you and I together assess will benefit you.

You are the agent of your change. That being said, we all need help finding our way through transitions, losses, detours, and even positive life stressors. My goal is to provide you with a supportive environment in which to discover your capacity for compassion and resilience.
