Seeking someone to speak to can be the first step to improving your mental health. It can be difficult, but it can be an illuminating experience to look deeper within yourself. Speaking with someone can eliminate the feeling of being alone, and provide you with the support you need to work toward developing coping skills and explore how to make yourself live the life you want to live. As a first-generation Indo-Caribbean woman, I have learned to acknowledge and welcome the delights and difficulties of a multicultural identity. One of these very difficulties is the avoidance of addressing mental health. I hold an MA in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Baruch College, and have taken part in trainings intended for trauma-informed work. My background has reinforced my drive to work with individuals who experience a variety of matters, including stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, depression, and cultural identity struggles. I utilize a person-centered approach to facilitate a validating, safe, empowering, and judgment-free space to help reach your true self. I am here to collaborate and create a therapeutic approach that seems most comfortable and effective for you while ensuring that you are supported throughout your journey.
