About

Kara (she/her) obtained her Master’s Degree in Community Psychology with a concentration in clinical services from the University of New Haven. She has worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment programs for substance use, residential treatment programs for eating disorders, in-home therapy, and outpatient services. Kara specializes in working with children, adults, and families who have experienced complex and acute trauma, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence.

Kara approaches each client with an understanding of brain function and development. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing, and Psychodyanamic approaches in her work.

Kara aims to create a safe, comfortable, and accepting space for all clients to ensure that they are able to live successfully.
