Kara is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Health Promotions and went on to receive a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in EMDR Therapy and Play Therapy.

Kara adopts an empowering, non-judgmental approach to healing and change that actively engages her clients' strengths. She believes past events can shape beliefs, self-perceptions and behaviors affecting current relationships and the ability to cope with past and present challenges.

To cultivate a pathway for growth and healing, Kara offers a compassionate and supportive environment. Kara specializes in grief and trauma, domestic violence, abuse, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, family struggles and life transitions. She is also trained in EMDR level I and II and attends advanced trainings.
