My name is Kaitlin Olson, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My therapeutic approach involves exploring your past to identify and ultimately change current problem behaviors. I believe gaining insight and healing from past experiences, and relationships is the key to finding peace in your life. I find using a combination of theoretical approaches is helpful for my clients. I combine attachment theory and cognitive behavioral therapy to help my clients identify and change the areas in their lives they find problematic. I typically work with adults, teenagers, and families who are navigating difficult circumstances and relationships. I have many years of experience working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, and parenting difficulties. You should expect me to review policies like confidentiality, mandated reporting, and cancellation expectations. This first session is unlike any other, as I will ask more questions than normal to get to know you and what brought you to therapy. The session may feel a little "busy," but ongoing sessions are usually much more relaxed.
