My approach to therapy is one that centers you and your unique experience, as well as the goals and concerns that you are coming to therapy to address. It is my belief that counseling is for everyone and that it is my job as a counselor to adjust my approach to each person’s unique and individual needs. I have experience working with Mormon faith crises/transitions/expansions, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, anxiety, depression, women’s empowerment, grief and bereavement, as well as life transitions and overall adult growth and development. I incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with a person-centered approach. I have found that these modalities are congruent with my beliefs about the importance of our environments and identifying patterns in your own story that will empower you with the knowledge and understanding to make the changes you would like to see in your own life. It can be difficult to find a therapist that is a good fit, and my goal is to make this process as easy as possible by centering your needs in our work together and taking a collaborative approach. If you have any questions about this process, feel free to email or text to set up a consultation.
