Dr. Camuso is a generalist practitioner who enjoys working with people of all ages and with all different presenting problems. She has experience serving patients experiencing depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, PTSD, and psychological issues related to women's health (e.g., fertility/reproductive health issues, peripartum mood and anxiety disorders, perimenopausal mood and anxiety distress). Julie helps patients develop clear-cut goals that are attainable and meaningful to their individual value system, and supports patients in progressing their life forward. Julie's therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and pulls heavily from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She completed Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT) certification at VA Maine Healthcare System during her clinical psychology internship and uses a trauma-informed lens when developing goals and treatment plans.
