About

The initial phone call or email to a therapist can sometimes feel like a daunting first step, and I aim to greet you with warmth and compassion. I view therapy as a journey of self discovery and a safe place to explore the relationship you have with yourself and others. I look forward to walking you through the process of getting started and finding a treatment that works best for you. Some of my specialties include the treatment of binge-eating, bulimia, anorexia and other food and weight-related problems, as well as generalized anxiety and depression, difficulty with life transitions, low self esteem and general life stressors.

I received my Masters in Social Work at Columbia University in 2013. After completing my masters, I worked at The Renfrew Center as Primary Therapist and Columbus Park as Intake Coordinator/Primary Therapist. I have completed intensive DBT trainings from Behavioral Health Tech and two years of clinical training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family.

I work within the theoretical frameworks of CBT, CBT-E, DBT, relational/narrative therapy and ACT and blend evidenced based treatments with traditional talk therapy to customize treatment to meet your needs. I invite you to reach out via phone or email for a free phone consultation to see if we may be a good fit. Thank you so much for visiting my profile.
