About

I enjoy working with people who want to grow, and who realize they need to change old ways and patterns that no longer serve them, but instead bring pain. In my practice, I've worked with people in all kinds of pain, and with all kinds of problems. I've helped people struggling with relationship problems, family issues, anxiety, depression, substance use and trauma. Over the 17 years that I've been counseling, I've learned that everyone needs to tell their story, to be heard, and understood. I've learned compassion, kindness, and non-judgement are all important in the healing process.

I have a master’s degree in counseling psychology, and a doctorate in psychology. I'm trained in multiple approaches: gestalt therapy, energy work, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), and psychodrama. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, that is, I draw from many different methods, often favoring cognitive-behavioral therapy (which looks at beliefs, thoughts,

and changing behaviors), and gestalt therapy (which focuses on emotions). With each person, and in each session, I use the method that I feel will be most effective. I'm here to help you work through the difficulties you are struggling with, to help you thrive.
