Hi there, I'm Julia! For my approach as a therapist, it is of the highest importance for clients to feel seen, heard, understood, and respected. Research shows that the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client can determine therapy outcomes, so I greatly value the connection made between myself as a therapist and you as the client. I recognize the vulnerability and reaching out for help isn’t easy, so my approach could be described as non-judgmental, curious, warm, empowering, empathetic, and client-centered to facilitate a safe space. I attended The University of Texas at San Antonio for my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and attended California State University, Chico for my Master's of Science in Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. I am always seeking to continue to learn new information in the psychology and mental health field and grow as a therapist by going to workshops, training, and keeping up to date on recent research in the Psychology field.
