About

Choosing a psychotherapist is rarely an easy decision. Can I trust this person? Will she be able to help and understand me? I believe that feeling respected and heard is the first step in a therapist-patient relationship. It is a necessary prerequisite to meaningful change in a person's life. People come to me with many concerns that can rob them of optimism and hope. I work to help individuals and couples overcome obstacles, value themselves and each other more, and help find meaning and connection in their lives.

A pragmatic, seasoned therapist with more than three decades of experience; I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and people of all cultural backgrounds and lifestyles. I've taught family and couple therapy at Hunter College School of Social Work. I worked as a consultant to a major hospital's bereavement and counseling program.

At present I only see clients through Zoom or other video sources. This enables clients from all over the city and beyond to work with me. It enables clients to meet with me in the comfort of their own home or office.
