I am a Nurse Psychotherapist with 45 years of experience. My specialities include grief, loss, anxiety, near-death experience, and relationships. I treat adolescents and adults of all ages. My approach is open, supportive, and empathetic, and I encourage independence quickly. While my beginning education is in nursing, I have a PhD in the Philosophy of Psychology and a two-year post-doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology Training. I am one of the original researchers on the "Near Death Experience." I am also nationally Board Certified as a Medical Psychotherapist and nationally Board Certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Clinician. I have an adult son who is happily married. I have two adolescent granddaughters. My youngest son was killed as a pedestrian at age 14. Happily married, my husband passed in late 2017. I understand grief, loss, the journey for spiritual answers, and how to find meaning, purpose, and joy through nostalgia in life once again.
