About

I believe counseling should not only take a holistic approach to addressing the everyday person (mind, body, soul), but strives to create a therapeutic alliance that promotes healing the relational bonds in one’s everyday life (internal, external, environmental). I also believe the counseling process is a collaborative alliance between the therapist and client(s) based on honesty, trust, and mutual respect. As I take this journey alongside you, we will explore your current concerns, identify hindering beliefs and behaviors, and work together to create and reach your goals.

My primary theoretical approach to counseling is Internal Family Systems (IFS). If you’ve ever said things such as, “There’s a part of me that …” or “I want to be different, but I can’t stop myself from …”, then applying IFS principles could have a significant impact on the way in which you relate to yourself and those around you.

My hope is that as we journey alongside each other, you will no longer condemn, but rather, be curious about “what makes you tick.” This in turn will help us to identify the unwanted thoughts or behaviors and instead place you on a new path that leads to the wholeness you always desired. But change starts with choice, so let's begin today!
