Making the decision to change or start something new is never easy, therapy included. Let me help you make the change you want in your life! I have been helping people do just that for nearly 20 years. My clients are adults of all genders & sexual orientations. It's been my experience that therapy works best when you and your therapist share a sense of trust & comfort. This helps increase motivation. Primary issues treated are depression, anxiety, lack of satisfaction in relationships & careers, self-esteem, grief and living with chronic illness. Areas of specialization include the LGBT community. Starting therapy can be particularly trying for LGBT individuals. My practice is strengths-based, affirmative & strictly nonjudgmental. I have extensive experience treating the issues prevalent in this community: gender & sexual orientation, depression, internalized homophobia & living with HIV/AIDS. I am committed to a personalized approach to psychotherapy. My theoretic approach to therapy is eclectic, and it is always tailored to your special and unique needs. My favored approaches are cognitive, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal & relational. I am trained in harm reduction and motivational interviewing.
