Therapists » Licensed Professional Counselor
Making the decision to address life issues affecting your mental health can feel overwhelming and difficult. As a LPC, I take great privilege helping adults work through issues or situations that cause mental, emotional, and/or spiritual distress. I have experience working with some of the most acute and chronic mental health issues of varying diagnoses. I am trained to diagnose individuals appropriately per my years of clinical work experience as a crisis counselor, and I utilize that information in therapy to help clients gain knowledge, insight, and develop the necessary tools to help them succeed in daily living. In addition, I believe it is important and appropriate to consider a person as a whole being, complete with a spiritual component. Thus, if a client chooses to do so, I consider it of upmost respect to help clients incorporate their Christian/Biblical faith-based belief system into their therapeutic work. The overall goal for me as a counselor, is to help clients walk away from therapy having created enough and/or meaningful change that leads them toward a healthier state of overall wellbeing, whether they choose to incorporate a faith-based belief system or not.
