Are you neuroqueer? You are, or think you might be, gifted, trans, ADHD, gay, autistic, poly, or a highly sensitive person. These identities begin on the inside, in how we relate to and experience the world. In turn, they shape how the world treats us. Because they start within us, they often go unnoticed, by ourselves or others, for at least a while. But we’ve always felt them, somehow. We know we are different; we feel we don’t belong or can’t fit in. It seems like everyone else got a copy of a script or rulebook that we didn’t. It’s a struggle to know who or how to be. My focus is the intersection of identity and relationships. I work with adults, teens, and kids who are struggling to understand themselves more completely and with people who want to improve their intimate and family relationships. I believe therapy is a place to explore, gently recover from trauma, and develop a meaningful life. All my life I struggled to fit in and make progress at “normal” life. Now I’ve built a life of belonging, play, nature, meaningful work and social connection. Therapeutic relationships and skills have been vital to my journey, and that is what I provide my clients. I appreciate how challenging it can be to seek support and look forward to speaking with you.
