The stress of recent world events may increase anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Big "T" traumas are life-threatening events that may be witnessed (bystanders) or experienced. Little "t" traumas include non-life-threatening injuries, emotional abuse, death of a pet, bullying or harassment, loss of significant relationships, just to name a few. All traumas have a significant emotional impact. Failing to address any trauma may result in anxiety, depression, and substance abuse, just to name a few. Living with painful memories can be devastating to the mind by creating chaotic thinking. Facing fear and trauma is frightening. Having the courage to discuss traumatic events, either witnessed or experienced, is never easy. But, living with unaddressed post-traumatic stress symptoms takes its toll. I am here to help and guide you through this process as you are not alone in your pain. Addressing trauma takes considerable bravery. I love walking the healing journey with my clients and taking it day by day. I am sensitive to narcissistic abuse and empaths. My youngest son is medically complex and I understand the toll this takes on the family. I am actively involved in a non-denominational Christian church.
