Dr. Hale focuses on marital therapy with a special interest in fostering couple intimacy as well as addressing potential problems with communication, attachment, and sexuality. A major treatment goal is to offer new strategies in resolving persistent relationship problems and conflicts. Treatment tends to be brief, highly focused, and direct. It requires clients to be open to new perceptions of their behaviors as well as new perceptions of the problem. This is treatment directed to couples committed to their relationship, who recognize each contribute 50% to the problem, and who will focus on changing their own behavior. I also offer comprehensive, forensic evaluations for court cases involving child custody and/or child protective cases. I provide brief, targeted treatment to help couples take responsibility for their own actions.
